Beginning Social Activism and Formation of “Voice of Minorities” – June 2016

Motivated by a strong desire to advocate for others, I gradually shifted my focus toward broader social issues, particularly those affecting religious minorities. In June 2016, I independently began a journey to Sindh, aiming to establish a youth-led network called “Voice of Minorities.” The purpose of this initiative was to empower young individuals from minority communities to raise their voices, address key issues, and ultimately promote national harmony and positive societal change.

During my time in Tharparkar, I engaged with local youth and students, raising awareness about available scholarship opportunities to help them pursue higher education. I also conducted career counseling sessions to guide them in shaping their futures.

Additionally, I held meetings with community stakeholders and educators to discuss the educational challenges faced by minority students—especially issues of discrimination. Together, we explored practical solutions to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, enabling these students to pursue their education with confidence and peace of mind.

Youth Meeting in Rahim Yar Khan – 2016

In 2016, I organized a youth meeting for the Hindu community in Rahim Yar Khan, held at a local Mandir. As a result of this engagement, the youth collectively organized a peaceful protest within the Mandir, demanding action against blasphemous content involving Hindu religious symbols being printed on footwear. This initiative marked a significant step in empowering the community to stand up against cultural and religious insensitivity through peaceful and constructive means.

Independent Survey on Forced Conversions – Sindh & Punjab

Building on the knowledge and experience I gained from Community World Service Asia (CWSA) and other civil society organizations, I independently initiated a field survey on the critical issue of forced conversions of religious minorities—a topic many organizations were unwilling to address or document.

Motivational Session – Khuwaja Fareed College, Rahim Yar Khan

I delivered a motivational session at Khwaja Fareed College in Rahim Yar Khan, addressing students from various departments. The session focused on raising awareness about available government scholarship opportunities and guiding students on how to benefit from them. Additionally, I highlighted the challenges faced by minority students within educational institutions and discussed practical solutions to create a more inclusive and supportive academic environment.

Empowering Change Through Education

In the heart of Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, I embarked on a mission of hope — establishing coaching centers for underprivileged minority children, led by inspiring young local girls who have emerged as torchbearers of education within their communities.

Today, over 150 children attend these centers, gaining not only academic knowledge but also lessons in dignity, self-confidence, and the courage to dream. Every notebook, every pencil, and every teacher’s salary is funded personally by me — without support from any NGO — because I believe true change begins when we take responsibility ourselves.

This is only the beginning. My vision is to establish 50 such centers across Sindh and Punjab, creating safe spaces where children can learn freely, grow with confidence, and imagine a brighter future.
