Voluntary Work with National and International Organizations
I have volunteered with various national and international organizations, contributing to diverse social causes. After completing my degree in 2015, I moved to Lahore and, in February 2016, attended my first conference on “Freedom of Religion.” During the event, I had the opportunity to share and highlight the challenges I encountered throughout my educational journey.
Beginning Social Activism and Formation of “Voice of Minorities” – June 2016
Motivated by a strong desire to advocate for others, I gradually shifted my focus toward broader social issues, particularly those affecting religious minorities. In June 2016, I independently began a journey to Sindh, aiming to establish a youth-led network called “Voice of Minorities.” The purpose of this initiative was to empower young individuals from minority communities to raise their voices, address key issues, and ultimately promote national harmony and positive societal change.
During my time in Tharparkar, I engaged with local youth and students, raising awareness about available scholarship opportunities to help them pursue higher education. I also conducted career counseling sessions to guide them in shaping their futures.
Additionally, I held meetings with community stakeholders and educators to discuss the educational challenges faced by minority students—especially issues of discrimination. Together, we explored practical solutions to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, enabling these students to pursue their education with confidence and peace of mind.
Youth Meeting in Rahim Yar Khan – 2016
In 2016, I organized a youth meeting for the Hindu community in Rahim Yar Khan, held at a local Mandir. During the gathering, students shared key concerns related to the education sector and were encouraged to become active voices for their community. The session motivated them to utilize social media as a tool to raise awareness and advocate for their rights within their capacity.
As a result of this engagement, the youth collectively organized a peaceful protest within the Mandir, demanding action against blasphemous content involving Hindu religious symbols being printed on footwear. This initiative marked a significant step in empowering the community to stand up against cultural and religious insensitivity through peaceful and constructive means.
Leadership Conference by PIHRO – Islamabad
I was honored to be invited to a five-day National Youth Development Conference, organized by the Pakistan International Human Rights Organization (PIHRO) in Islamabad. The event focused on leadership development and youth empowerment at the national level.
Peace Project with Soch the Alternative Media – 2017
In 2017, I became actively involved in a peacebuilding initiative titled “Peace is Possible Together,” led by the organization Soch – The Alternative Media in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Pakistan. Over the course of this four-month project, I worked on promoting peace and harmony by creating short documentaries that highlighted positive narratives as well as critical social issues through digital media.
As part of the project, Soch also documented my personal experience with discrimination during my educational journey in a short film titled “A Plate of Empathy.” This story aimed to raise awareness about the everyday challenges faced by minority students in Pakistan.

Kahani Sunao – 9 Month Digital Storytelling Project
Following the successful completion of the “Peace is Possible Together” project, I rejoined Soch – The Alternative Media to participate in a nine-month digital storytelling initiative titled “Kahani Sunao.” During this project, I created various stories that promoted social awareness and peacebuilding through digital platforms.
As part of this initiative, I also produced a peace-focused VLOG aimed at fostering harmony between India and Pakistan. The video highlighted the shared cultural values and the importance of peaceful coexistence between the two nations.

In this role, I led a team of volunteers and was actively involved in organizing and managing activities for over 15,000 children during the two-day event. My responsibilities included coordination, crowd management, and ensuring meaningful engagement for all participants.

I had the honor of being invited to the National Interfaith Harmony Conference held in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which brought together over 300 youth participants from across Pakistan. During the conference, I addressed the pressing issues faced by religious minorities in the country.
I delivered a presentation on the topic of forced conversions, sharing data and findings from my independent survey conducted in Sindh and Punjab. Youth United for Social Change – Community World Service Asia (CWSA) – 2017
In 2017, I had the opportunity to serve as a Community Representative with Community World Service Asia (CWSA) under their youth initiative, “Youth United for Social Change.” Through this project, we organized a series of motivational sessions at Punjab University, focusing on interfaith harmony and peacebuilding.
My involvement with CWSA significantly enhanced my skills in team leadership, facilitation, report writing, research, motivational speaking, photography, fact-finding, and activity management. As part of my outreach, I conducted focus group discussions with Hindu youth in Rahim Yar Khan, where I shared the knowledge and insights I had gained through the CWSA platform to inspire and empower the community.
Youth Boot Camp – Youth Development Foundation – Murree
I participated in a youth boot camp organized by the Youth Development Foundation in Murree, where I actively engaged in a four-month program focused on leadership and community development. As part of the initiative, I successfully completed several Social Action Plans (SAPs). One of the key ideas I proposed was a community service project aimed at the Christian community, focusing on raising awareness about cleanliness and hygiene. This initiative was designed to promote a healthier living environment and encourage civic responsibility within underserved communities.
Independent Survey on Forced Conversions – Sindh & Punjab
Building on the knowledge and experience I gained from Community World Service Asia (CWSA) and other civil society organizations, I independently initiated a field survey on the critical issue of forced conversions of religious minorities—a topic many organizations were unwilling to address or document.
Without institutional support, I traveled across various regions of Sindh and Punjab, meeting with victimized families, community stakeholders, human rights defenders, lawyers, and parliamentarians who were actively advocating against this serious human rights violation. I conducted video interviews to document personal stories and ground realities, and many individuals joined the initiative voluntarily in support of the cause.
As a result of this effort, I compiled a detailed report based on my findings and personally submitted it in Islamabad to Parliamentarian Kheal Dass Kohistani. The report contributed to the drafting of a bill aimed at addressing and preventing forced conversions in Pakistan.

I participated in a three-day Human Rights Defenders Training organized by Human Friends Organization. Following the training, I have continued my involvement with the organization on a voluntary basis, contributing to various initiatives focused on human rights advocacy and community empowerment.
Social Media Live Sessions on Human Rights Violations
After completing my survey, I began raising awareness about human rights violations—particularly forced conversions—through social media, using live sessions as a platform to reach a wider audience. These sessions aimed to encourage victimized individuals to come forward and speak out in pursuit of justice. I hosted several live discussions on Facebook with human rights defenders and activists, which resulted in increased community engagement. Many individuals, including those previously unknown to me, started reaching out and sharing case details, further amplifying the impact of this initiative.
